HQ MEMBER’S DATABASE – CHANGES TO PERSONAL DETAILS

It will be appreciated if ALL adults will kindly check their personal details on the Headquarter’s Member’s Database at www.Scouts.org.uk especially if there has been a change of address, telephone or email address.

CRB RENEWALS

Just a reminder! Leaders in Charge of Groups and Units have been informed that Headquarters have sent us an up to date list of everyone's CRB disclosures that have been processed within the last 5 years. Understandably, each Scout Group, Explorer Unit or Fellowship will have one or more adults whose CRB has passed its sell by date. I have asked Neville and Hazel (Burnley) or Les (Pendle) to go through the list and contact all Groups to ask them to arrange for new CRB forms to be completed by the persons named within the next month or so. The same policy extends to any adults who are not leaders or assistants, i.e. Group or District Executive Committee Members or Scout Fellowship, who may need access to young people if they attend activities or events where young people are present. A CRB form must be completed for them too. I trust that we will receive the full co-operation of all adults. I am not prepared to accept adults who have not been CRB cleared on this years Census Form

Details of the annual competition have been circulated by Neville Graham.

EXCITING TIMES FOR BOWLEY – MONDAY 8 FEBRUARY 2010

All leaders are invited to discuss a blueprint for Bowley with Steve Worsnip, our newly appointed ACC Develop-ment, and Glen Fendall. This is a separate initiative to the business partnership with Hill Climb Activities who will run all midweek activities. It is an opportunity to contribute to the future of Bowley and raise any concerns that you may have. Bowley is a very good campsite but like all good things, we need to strive to make it even better. We need your thoughts and ideas. If there is any reason why you do not take your young people to Bowley, please come and let us know why! Steve and Glen would both value your attendance at the meeting on the 8th February 2010 at Bowley commencing 7.30p.m., when Steve will seek to engage us in an interactive session to establish what WE want from this exceptional valuable Scout resource.

Please note that, in view of the forthcoming business partnership with Hill Climb Activities, it will be advisable to request bookings for midweek evening activities well in advance.

ACC ACTIVITIES

In addition to the above appointment of ACC Development, our County Commissioner has appointed John Rose as ACC Activities with immediate effect.
